FAREWELL TEA
In honour of his mother, Mrs. M. Searle, who will leave for England to visit her daughter, Mrs. McCulloch, Mr. George Searle gave a delightful party at James Smith’s tea rooms yesterday afternoon to enable some of her friends to extend to her their best wishes for a pleasant trip. The long table, covered with a jade green cloth, was made gay with baskets of vividly coloured zinnias.
Those present were: Lady Buckleton, Mrs. B. Sutherland, Mrs. C. J. B. Norwood, Mrs. A. B. Gibbons, Mrs. W. H. Gledhill, Mrs. J. G. Smith, Mrs. Burley, Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. Sidney Smith, Mrs. Slade, Mrs. Atkinson, Mrs. Hislop, Mrs. R. Ellis, Mrs. Gapes, Mrs. George, Mrs. A. Mack, Mrs. Fisk, Mrs. C. Mack, Mrs. Walter Norwood, Mrs. Leu George, Mrs. Bethel, Miss J. Buckleton, Miss J. Sutherland, Miss M. Either, Miss D. Warry.
