MIRAMAR RUGBY CLUB
Marked Improvement
Shown
A marked and definite improvement upon the past few years was shown by the Miramar District Rugby Football Club last season, .according to the annual report. This, the report states, was attributable in part to the improvement in economic conditions generally, and in part to the rallying to the club of a most, enthusiastic band of supporters. The reorganisation of club affairs, commenced in the preceding season, was completed during the past season, and the benefit of this should become manifest in the future.
Six teams were fielded in the Wellington Rugby Union championships, al) performing well, the improvement, in tactics and combination being steadily maintained. Two teams worthy of special mention were the juniors who, after a poor start, improved to such an extent that they won the last nine matches of the season in a row. and the. thirds, who won the championship of the section of their grade.
