YESTERDAY’S ACCIDENTS

At Standard Motor Bodies’ works, shortly after noou yesterday. Geoffrey Painter, of 256 Taranaki Street, panel beater, was struck by a tiu, receiving a lacerated wound to his neck, which necessitated his removal to hospital by the Free Ambulance. Mr. G. Rose, of 16 Jacob’s Place, watersider, was taken to hospital shortly after 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon, with injuries to his right ribs, received when he fell about eight feet down the hold of a vessel he was working on at the Glasgow Wharf. When his hand was caught between a lead block and a case, while working on the Kaimiro, at the Railway Wharf, at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. Mr. V. Moller, of 3 Norway Street, waterside worker, bad his left middle finger fractured and the rest of the fingers on that band lacerated. After receiving medical attention he was able to go to his home.
