Following is the weather report and forecast issued by the Meteorological Office, 'Wellington, for the 24 hours ending 3 p.m. to-day: —■
The series of secondary depressions continues to cross the Dominion, while pressure remains low to the east and an intense anti-cyclone covers the south-west
Tasman Sea. . , South-westerly or southerly winds predominating, but veering at times to west oi north-west at many places. . Force moderate to strong generally, and still
rising to gale in some exposed positions: . r Z > Seas moderate to rather rough north of East Cape; elsewhere m New Zealand
waters mainly rough. . Strong south-westerly winds, rising occasionally to gale force m places, m the eastern Tasman Sea; seas rough. . , Weather still Cool and changeable, with rain at times m most districts; hail and thunder still probable.
