HOMING PIGEONS
Wellington Society’s Race
The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society recently flew a flock race from Waiouru, 134 miles airline. The pigeons were liberated by the stationmaster in dull weather, and the birds had a hard fight against a heavy southerly wind, a severe trial for young birds.
