Accident

Auckland. February 8.

An intoxicated motorist, who, after falling over a stone wall into a paddock at Penrose on Saturday afternoon, divested himself of all his clothes, except his shoes, socks, and suspenders, and was later arrested in his car wearing an overcoat, was dealt with by Air. AV. R. McKean. S.M., at the Alagistrate’s Court this morning. The motorist was John Hallam Holloway, a farmer.?2B years old, who pleaded guilty to being intoxicated in charge.

Coltnsel for accused said that Holloway did not touch liquor as a rule. The reason why he had taken off his clothes was that he felt ill. A fine of £l5 was imposed and accused’s licence was cancelled for three months.
