BOMB-PROOF SHELTER

Melbourne, February 7.

For the first time in the history of Australian architecture, a bomb-proof shelter has beeu incorporated in the design of a Melbourne home.

The house has a high concrete tower sunk about seven feet underground, with concrete stears leading down fronu a large central entrance hall throdgh steel-lined doors to the shelter, which will be used for storage.
