WEDDINGS

Clark—Trass The wedding was solemnised recently at Knox Church, Masterton, of Doris Emily,..fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Trass, Mount Bruce, Masterton, to Roy Clarence Clark, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. C. Clark, Masterton. The Rev. John Davie was the officiating minister, and Mr. E. F. Wilson was at the organ. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a long-trained frock of cream rose-patterned lace, worn over satin with a cowl neck finished with a spray of cream roses. The bodice and tight-fitting sleeves were trimmed with tiny satin buttons, and her embroidered veil was fitted to a cap of velvet flowers, finished with orange blossom. She carried a shower-bouquet of roses, carnations and maidenhair fern.

The bride was attended by her two sisters, Misses Olive and Edna Trass, who wore frocks of cream and pink satin respectively. The frocks were cut on classical lines and finished with stitched belts and queen elizabeth collars. They wore halo headbands of gold sequins, and carried showerbouquets in pink and blue tonings. Patty Clark, the flower-girl, was in an ankle-length frock of blue satin beaute, and Barry Yates, the pageboy, wore a suit of cream satin beaute.

Mr. Jack Corry acted as best man, and Mr. Clarry Skeet was groomsman.

A reception was held at the Masonic Hall, Masterton, where about 90 guests were received by Mrs. Trass, the bride’s mother, who was in a frock of black silk faile, relieved with touches of pink, with hat and shoes to tone. Mrs. Clark, the bridegroom’s mother, wore a black and white ensemble, with hat and shoes to match. When Mr. and Mrs. R. Clark left on their honeymoon the bride travelled in a lido blue tailored costume with white accessories.
