Complexions Go East
In Loudon, complexions have gone East to China. Pale creamy tones of powder, giving a look of repose to the face, are being used in combination with nasturtium —red rouge and lipstick (an orange shade). Jet black eye-pencil and a dusting of subtle, rather heavy perfume complete the illusion. The new richly-coloured brocade and silk evening frocks are the reason behind this changc-of-faee. Highlytinted make-up detracts from the beauty of the new materials, and prevents their wearer’s face from showing up to the best 'advantage in contrast,
