This season’s waist length, shortsleeved jacket can be made from as little as 15yd. of material. Pastelcoloured flannels, fine woollen fabrics and the new uuerushable linens and pique are a good choice. For holiday playsuits shoppers are offered a wide range of remnants. Half a yard of silk, printed cotton or novelty woollen material will make a handkerchief sunbathing top. Pleated shorts can be made from 11yd. of 54in. material. With 11yd. of 35in. material women can make dainty step-ins. Slightly less material is required for short, tailored panties.
