WAHINE TO DOCK

Resumes Running- Next Week The Union Company’s WellingtonLyttelton express service steamer Wahine is to go on the floating dock this morning in continuation of her overhaul and survey, preparatory to reentering the inter-island service next week. The Wahine has been laid up for repairs to her hull and boilers since she struck the Pipitea Wharf in a thick fog early in June last. The Wahine is to leave Wellington next Monday for Lyttelton in place of the Rangatira, which will withdraw for one round trip on her arrival at Wellington next Sunday. The Rangatira will be docked for cleaning and painting next Monday and will resume from Wellington on Wednesday in her usual timetable running. The Wahine on her arrival at Wellington on Wednesday will wait over and sail on Thursday in place of the Maori, which will withdraw from service and lay up at Wellington over the summer months.
