Wellington Chib. The Wellington club have almost completed the handicap matches. In the A grade Mrs. Manton defeated Mrs. Henderson, 26-21. MesdaWS Rnmsuy and Priddle meet in the semi-final, and the winner piays Mrs. Manton in the final. Mrs. Manton is playing very good croquet at the present lime. In the interchib match on Tuesday against Ngaroina llie Ngaroma player failed at a hoop with Mrs. Manton's ball near. Mrs. Manton look Hie shot and played an all-round break, scoring II points. Mrs. Ramsay, the partner, was also playing well, the game finishing in an hour, 26-9.

Association Ferns. The Association Ferns have _ again changed hands, the honours this week going to Hie Wellington club, represented by Mesdames Thornton and J. Smith. The game was played on Hie Seatoun lawn last Friday against the holders, Mesdames Snelling and Bedford. The game was fairly even for some time. 'The long shooting of Mrs. Snelling was excellent. The Wellington players were playing steadily, and about half-way obtained a good lead, which they kept until llie end, the match ending 26-17 in favour of V ellington. Mrs. Richardson, Hataitai, was the referee. The next match will take place on the Wellington lawns on Friday nt 1.30. when the Kelburn club will challenge. Mrs. Spence will act as referee.

McKenzie Cups. The third round for the McKenzie Cups was played on Monday, when Mesdames Smith and 'Toms, Karori, were again successful in defending the cup against Mesdames Tye find Creeke, Kelburn, the score being 26-11. Mrs. McGirr, Seatoun. was the referee. The next match will be played on Friday. Ngaroma chib will bo the challengers.

Wairarapa Tournament. The first tournament of the season is nearing completion. In the handicap singles, No. 1 section, Mrs. Egan, Masterton, was the winner, with Mrs. McAlpine, Martinborough, runner-up. Mesdames Caldow and Bassett were winners of the championship doubles, with Mrs. Barry and Miss Card runners-up. In the final of the ladies’ championship, Mrs. W. E. Caldow, Wellington, meets the winner of Mesdames Barry and Anstis game. The tournament will probably finish to-day.
