Mrs. C. H. Mackay, Nelson, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. V. Powell, Blenheim, is visiting Wellington.

Mrs. H. A. Reid, Masterton, is a visitor to Wellington. Mrs. W. Reid, Ellice Street, Wellington, is visiting Dunedin. Mrs. R. Elliott, Dunedin, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. H. K. Macintosh, Masterton, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. W. B. Mercer, Oriental Bay, will leave to-night for Auckland. Miss V. Barron, Dunedin, is visiting Wellington. Dr. K. Miss Ethel Batchelor, who has been visiting friends in the North Island, has returned to Dunedin.

Mrs. Taylor, Cambridge, is a visitor to Wellington for the Girl Guide conference.

Mr. and Mrs. Phil Nathan, Karori, are spending a holiday at The Lodge, Hanmer Springs. Mrs. Vogel, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Charles A. Cooper, Leinster Road, Christchurch. Mrs. C. G. Wilkin has returned to Christchurch from a visit to Wellington.

Mrs. Lazarus, who has been holidaying abroad, has left England for Wellington on the Otranto. ■ Mr. and Mrs. H. F. von -Haast left England on October 24 by the Otranto on their return to New Zealand. Miss Marjorie Reid, London, is the guest of Miss Moya Hempton, Hobson Crescent.

Mrs. Carver, Wangauui, is the guest of Airs. Alorgan Duncan, 60 Alurphy Street.

Air. and Airs. H. V. Morgan (Lower Hutt) are the guests of Mr. and Airs. T. JB. Amies while at Wanganui.

Aliss Al. Al. Durrad, Wellington, left London by the Otranto on October 24, on her return to New Zealand. Airs. Dransfield and Aliss E. Dransfield left England on October 24 for Auckland by the Otranto. Mrs. F. D. Carter, Prebbleton, Christchurch, arrived at A5 7 ellington yesterday to be the guest of her sister-in-law, Mrs. H. Hay-Barclay. Airs. St. George Lindsay, Switzerland, who has been visiting AVellington, has left New Zealand for Trinidad.

Major-General Sir John and Lady Davidson are passengers on the Otranto, which left Tilbury for New Zealand on October 24. Airs, Hugh Herd, AVellington, who has been the guest of Airs. R. Hatrick and Airs. J. Alillward, AVanganui, has gone on to Auckland. News has been received that Aliss Gwenethe Walshe, of Wellington, has passed the Imperial Society of Ballroom Dancing examination in London.

Air. and Airs. J. H. AVorboys, Hill Street, left for the south last night for a three months’ holiday in Christchurch. Airs. Charles Harrison, Wellington, has returned home. after spending a long holiday with her parents, Air. and Airs. Al. O’Connell, Christchurch. Alisses Vera and Elva Heney, who have been visiting friends and relatives in AVellington and Palmerston North, have returned to their home in Christchurch. Mrs. Al. H. Atkinson, York Bay, who has spent the past 22 months in England, returned yesterday as a passenger to AVellington in the Wanganella. Airs. E. P. Bunny, Lower Hutt, who has been Mrs. Dudley Kettle’s guest at Napier, is now visiting Air. and Mrs. R. Orton, St. John’s Hill, Wanganui.
