TWO FARM TRAGEDIES
Women Found Drowned By Telegraph—Press Association. Hamilton, November 18. A young married woman, Mrs. C. P. Ford, a daughter of Mrs. S. Gunn, Matamata, was found by her husband last evening lying in three feet of water in a sandpit on a farm with her four-months-old baby clasped in her arms. The couple had been married two years. The husband had been working at the back of the farm all day and returned in the evening to find a note: “Don’t blame anyone for this.” On a search being made, the bodies were found, with a large piece of concrete fastened to the woman’s neck. On the same road, a mile away, Isabella Symons, aged 50, second wife of Mr. W. Symons, farmer, was found dead this morning in a water trough hear her house. The deceased left notes to her husband and relatives expressing her intention to commit suicide.
