GOLF COMPETITIONS
Waiwetu Club A Hag competition played at Waiwetu on Saturday afternoon was won by A. G Sltinnell. who holed out on the 18th green. Stroke rounds during the week-end produced a number of good cards, the best being A. R. Lusty. 83-20-63, followed by A. G. StunneH, Sl-19-65; R. G. Holland. 71-2-69; H. C. Ribbands. 73-4-69; and «L B Wallace, 79-7-72. Holland was In good form on Sunday afternoon, completing the course in 71. going out in 38 and returning in 33. Next Saturday afternoon a bogey round over 18 holes will be played, and on Sunday the usual bogey rounds for cup points will be completed. Shandon Ladies’ Mid-week Club Owing to the death of one of its members, the Shandon Ladies’ Mid-week Club has postponed the first round of the summer cup until after the annual meeting on Wednesday. November 25. Members are notified that nominations for the committee, etc., must be handed to the secretary, not later than Wednesday next.
