Premises Used as Common Gaming-house l»v 'i’elv^raph—lAssociation Auckland, November 16. One of the men arrested in the big gaming raid on Friday night. Nicholas Saunders, aged 32, pleaded guilty iu the Police Court to-day to using premises as a common gaming-house. The police said that Saunders was fined £3O for bookmaking in July, 1935. A fine of £5O wag imposed, in default a month’s imprisonment. GREYMOUTH PROSECUTION By Telegraph—Press Association. Greymouth, November 16. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day George Jeffree Davis,.- aged 26, for using premises as a. common gaminghouse, was fined £2O. The police slated that Davis was a small bettor and nothing was previously known against him.
