Wellington—lt was a mild, cloudy day in Wellington, with a strong north-westerly wind whicl? reached gale force'at times in the afternoon. The minmium temperature during Tuesday night was 50.8 deg., and the maximum yesterday 59.5c1e£. The temperature at 3.30 p.m. yesterday was o4.ldeg. Masterton. —Brilliantly sunny; passing clouds: light westerly breeze. Palmerston North. —Dull and showery, with west-south-west wind. Wanganui.—Dull, overcast and showery ; light westerly breeze. •Waipukurau.—Welcome warm rain fell throughout the night, ‘ ‘ ’ lolnts , recorded. The weather cleared in the early morning and a vvaim, pleasant Auckland^—A." moderate westerly wind and unsettled weather prevailed to-day. Occasional light showers were experienced in the morning nml overc;Jß d threatening conditions later in the day.
