Constable W. S. Brown, after 15 years’ service with the mounted police attached to the Taranaki Street police station, has left Wellington on transfer to Barrett’s, a Public Works Department camp a few miles out of Gisborne. Before his departure he was presented with a set of law books by Sergeant Gracey on behalf of others at the station.
