Detroit, October 22. The death has occurred of Senator
James Couzens, of Michigan, aged 64.
James Couzens. born in Ontario. Canada, in 1872. has been a member of the United States Senate since 1922. Ho begiiu the manufacture of motor-ears in 1903 is a former president of the Bank of Detroit, and was vice-president, general manager and treasurer of the Eord Motor Company of Detroit, vicepresident of the Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd., ami a director of the Ford Motor Company of England, Ltd. He was a Republican in politics, and mayor of Detroit from 1919 to 1922.
