MAN’S SUDDEN DEATH
Coroner’s Finding of Heart Failure
The-sudden death of her husband. Gidson Lamb, was described by Ella Lamb a.t in inquest in Wellington yesterday before the coroner, Mr. E. Gilbertson, J.P. Lamb, aged 54, was stated to have died on October 19 at his home at 64 Brougham Street. The finding was of death by heart-failure. Mrs. Lamb said that on the morning of his death her husband assisted her with her housework. At about five minutes to twelve he said, "I am very tired,” and sat down on the couch while she prepared the dinner. She heard him making a noise, and saw him waving his arms. To her question, “What is the matter, dad?” he replied, “Don’t leave me” His hand dropped on hers, and he said, “I am going, Ella. Good-bye.” His eyes shut for a second, then opened, and remained so. His head fell back, and his body went limp. Lamb was stated to have been in illhealth for some time. Dr. P. P. Lynch gave medical evidence. Senior-Sergeant D. J. O’Neill appeared for the police.
