NEW APPOINTMENT
Japanese Consul-General In Australia (Received October 21, 10.20 p.m.) Tokio, October 21. Mr. E. Arnau, Foreign Office spokesman. confirmed the appointment of Mr. Torao Wakamatsu to succeed Mr. Murai as Consul-General for Japan in Australia. Mr. Murai has meanwhile been directed to investigate the case of the Japanese fishing boats arrested at Noumea.
