St. James’s Girls’ Club Miss Betty Knox, Lower Hutt, who is shortly to be married, was an honoured guest of St. James's Girls' Club on Tuesday night. She "was presented by Miss Sybil Munro, the next member of the club who is to be married, with a bouquet of bronze tulips. Miss Knox received a large number of green coloured gifts for the kitchen, for which she thanked the donors. Supper was then served, after which an impromptu programme of recitations and a ballet by club members were presented.
