TELEVISION PLANNED

Coronation Procession

London, October 6,

The “Daily Telegraph” reports that the British Broadcasting Corporation is planning to televise the whole of the Coronation procession. It will mean a £20,000 television van. The corporation is awaiting official sanction to televise the ceremony in Westminster Abbey. Hopes of television broadcasts of the Test matches were brought nearer by the British Broadcasting Corporation’s achievement in bringing to Fleet Street golf lessons given by Archie Compston from a television station at a miniature course at Alexandra Palace. The scenes were depicted clearly on receivers in Fleet Street, and even the sound of the impact of the club on the ball was perfect.
