RANFURLY SHIELD. ENTHUSIASTS CAUGHT UNAWARES. The intense enthusiasm manifested over the Otago-Soutliland Ranfurly Shield match had its reactions. Weeks of tine weather bad broken a few days earlier and underfoot the rain and snow had made conditions unpleasant.
