PASSENGERS INJURED
« Motor-car Tire Bursts Dominion Special Service, Sanden, September 20. Shortly before 9 o’clock this mon> ing, Mr. and Mrs. S. Kent, of Cambridge Terrace, Lower Hutt, were injured as a result of the motor-car in which they were riding as passengers capsizing following the bursting of the right rear tire. Mr. John W. Hopper, of 451 Main Street, Palmerston North, was driving the car, the accident occurring about a mile and a half from Sandon. When Mr. Hooper applied the brakes, following the tire bursting, the ear swung round and struck the \ bank, before capsizing. Mrs. Kent received a cut cheek and bruised forehead, while Mr. Kent was ent on the head. They were attended by a Palmerston Noijji doctor, and later were able to proceed home. Mr. Hooper escaped injury, but the car waa badly damaged.
