PAREMATA BRIDGE
Official Opening Fixed For October 3 October 3 at 2.30 p.m. has been fixed for the official opening of the Paremata Bridge, which will give shortened access to Plimmerton and the surrounding district. The Minister of Public Works (Hon. R. Semple) has been asked to perform the opening ceremony after which the bridge and the mile of road into Plimmerton will be open for traffic. The Hutt County Council, which opened negotiations for the bridge, the Automobile Association (Wellington) and other bodies will be represented at the ceremony. At the present time only the approach to the bridge on the Paremata side remains to be completed.
