HUTT VALLEY W.D.F.U.

The monthly meeting of Die Hutt Valley Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in St. Hilda’s Hall. The vice-president, Mrs. Collie, presided over a good attendance.

Interesting letters were read from a member who is touring Canada and from the president, who is visiting the bnckblocks of the Auckland district Arrangements were made for the annual ball to be held at Talta next month.

A demonstration of slipper-making was given by Mrs. Williams. The monthly competition, a vase of six spring flowers, was .judged by Mrs. pepper, Mrs. Burrell being first and Mrs. Bentley second. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs. Mumby and Mrs. Gorrio,
