The shortage of Labour Department inspectors throughout the Wellington district was discussed at a meeting of the Wellington Trades and Labour Council on Thursday evening, and it was decided to approach the Minister of Labour, Hon. H. T. Armstrong. A member of the council said that although a number of additional inspectors had been appointed, the officers of the department were still deluged with work and their duties had been increased as a result of new legislation.
