Hurried Change of Plans NEWS OF J. FRYER’S TEAM Dominion Special Service. Hawera, September 17. Encouraged by his success at Wanganui, Smith Bros.; owners of Wotan, made a hurried change of plans, and he is being sent over to join J. Fryer’s team at Warwick Farm. He left Hawera by float tor Marton this morning, from where he will be entrained for Auckland. Accompanied by his owners, he sails tzi the Awatea to-morrow. Wotan appears to have come solid at last, having benefited considerably by the racing he had last week. He was not nominated for the A.J.C. meeting, and will be reserved for Victorian racing. He is engaged in both the Melbourne and Caulfield Cups. ' Callamost, Kia Ora and Panloff leave for Foxton to-morrow. In their final schooling bouts yesterday both Callamost and Panloff shaped pleasingly, particularly the latter. R. Webby rides Panloff, B. Kowhai Callamost, and S. Anderson Kia Ora, on Saturday. In a letter home, J. Fryer states that all of his horses landed in Sydney with their legs considerably swollen. Black Friar’s injuries are .not as bad as was at first thought, and he should be able to race in Victoria. International also met with minor injuries, having several bruises and abrasions, but they are not serious. International, One Whetu and Cynical Kid are to race at Rosehill to-morrow.
