Petrol Tax Proposed (From “The Dominion,” Sept. 18, 1911.) Mr. T. E. Y. Seddon, M.P., will ask in Parliament the following question of the Minister of Customs: “Whether he will arrange that an extra duty of, say, 3d. per tin of two gallons be placed upon petrol for motor-eaf use, the revenue accruing therefrom to be spent upon improvement of roads, tarring to prevent dust nuisance, and the erection of direction posts.” « » » The German dreadnought cruiser Moltke, 23,000 tons displacement, did 2€>l knots —a dreadnought record. ©©©©9©©9©©«©©©©e©©©©©©«©©©
