T. P. Pauling Now Under Eye Specialist The steady improvement in the condition of Mr. E. G. Shaw, who has been confined to bed at the Grand Hotel since the first match between the Wallabies and the All Blacks on September 5, is being maintained. Yesterday he was but of doors fon the first time for nine days, being taken for a motor drive by Mr. J. Murphy. T. P. Pauling is still in bed and is having, special treatment to correct ills eye trouble from Dr. J. H. Beaumont. He played in the second half of the first match against New Zealand with concussion and double vision and has been under treatment since. Neither he nor the manager will be able to visit the South Island. They will rejoin the team when it returns to Wellington next Tuesday and proceed with it to Palmerston North- '
