Hutt Park Trots.-The opening meeting of the 1936-1937 season, held at Hutt Park on Saturday, was a most, successful one for the Wellington Trotting Club, despite showery weather. Top: The finish of the Bollard Memorial Handicap, with Kingcraft (rails) narrowly defeating Avernus. Bottom: A mishap at the start of the Railway Handicap. The favourite, Ginger Jack, (right), backed away from j the mark as the tapes were broken and Oversight, coming from 12 yards behind, collided with him, both sulkies being overturned. W. K. Tatterson, the driver of Oversight is seen (left) on'the ground with his legs still entangled in the sulky.
