Institute Desires Senior

Ranking The Institute Old Boys' Cricket Club at its annual meeting instructed its delegates to move at the. annual meeting or the Wellington Cricket Association that the Institute club be readmitted to senior Ta it'was felt that, serious consideration must be given the recommendation, as the Club was one of the very strongest affiliated with, the Wellington Cricket Association, and would be even stronger m the coming season. At least two more teams would be coming to the club from the Boys’ Institute, making a total ot eight, besides which the Boys’ Institute would be entering from 10 to 14 teams in the boys’ association. The club was congratulated upon its success in the past season. It had won three championships (second grade, junior A and junior D), and other teams from the club also having done well (especially the junior 81, which was level with Karori when the last match commenced), third place had been gained iu the club championship. Reference was also made to the loyalty of members in remaining with the club after it had been relegated to second grade. A fine club spirit was very evident. Delegates were instructed to vote in favour of the elective system for the management committee at the annual meeting of the AVellington Cricket Association.

It was deckled to place on record the club’s appreciation of the services given to cricket over a period of years by Messrs. I’. B. Broad and W. J. R. Christopherson, chairman and bon. treasurer respectively of the Wellington Cricket Association. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Mr. L. T. Watkins; president. Mr. W. A.
