Mr. Leslie Michel, presided, presented the Mayor of Hokitika, Mr. George Albert Perry. 0.8. E.. with a handsome Illuminated addrese and a substantial piece of silver plate tn recognition of his twenty-five years’ continuous service as mayor of the town. Complimentary references were made to his valued services to the town and district over a period of years.

Mr. Perry is the first Hokitika-born mayor of the town.
