RELIGIOUS SERVICES. J 0.0. F. HALL, ALLEN STREET. * THE THIRD LECTURE OF THE SERIES UNDER THE TITLE OF “THE BRITISH-ISRAEL THEORY REFUTED” AVILL BE DELIVERED (God willing) in the above Hall on SUNDAY at 7 p.m. Subject: “TRUE BIBLE-TEACHING CONCERNING THE UNCONDITIONAL PROMISES MADE BY GOD TO ABRAHAM, ISAAC, AND JACOB.” “I (the Lord) will make of thee (Abraham) a great Nation ... all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever, and I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth . . . thy seed shall possess the gale of His enemies, and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1-3, 13:14-17, 15:16, 17:1-8, 22:16-18, 26:1-5, 28:13-14). THE OBJECT of this lecture is to show that a fulfilment of the above as yet unfulfilled promises will involve:— (1) The resurrection of the dead—Abraham, Isaac and Jacob then to be immortalised, and then to literally inherit “the laud of promise” for ever. (Dan. 12:2, John 5:28-29, Luke 20:35, Rev. 11 :18, 1 Cor. 15:51-54. Acts 7:5. Hebs. 11:8-16, Roms. 4:13, Luke 13 :2S). (2) The restoration of the natural seed of Abraham (the nation of Israel) to Palestine, there to become “a great nation” and the nucleus of the coming KINGDOM OF GOD on earth. (Roms. 11:1-2, Eze. 37:21-22, Jer. 30:3, Jcr. 31:10, Jcr. 31:27-28, Micah 4 :6-8, Zech. 8:23, Matt. 19:28, Luke 22:29-30). (3) The literal personal return to earth of Jesus Christ (“the seed” —Gals. 3:16), to “possess the gate of His enemies” by overthrowing all human authority (political and ecclesiastical), and by establishing the universal KINGDOM OF GOD on earth—its wise and benevolent administration by Christ and the saints, resulting in the blessing of "all the nations of the earth.” (John 14:3, Acts 1:11, Acts 3:19-21, Rev. 19:15, Psa. 2:1-9, Ung. 2:22, Dan. 2:44, Luke 20:17-18, Rev. 11:15, 1 Cor. 6:2, Dan. 7:18, 22, 27, 2 Tim. 2:12, Rev. 5:9-10, Rev. 20:6, Psa. 72, Isa. 2, Isa. 11, Jer. 23:5-6, etc.). "ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD AND IT WAS ACCOUNTED TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS. KNOW YE. THEREFORE, THAT THEY WHICH ARE OF FAITH, THE SAME ARE THE CHILDREN OF ABRAHAM.” (Paul-Gals. 3:6-7). Questions invited.
