METHODIST RALLY
Fostering Unity and Fellowship A rally of Wellington East Methodist circuit was. held in the Hataitai schoolroom recently, when 100 representatives were present. This was the secopd of a series to be held for the purpose ot fostering a unity and fellowship within the circuit. The superintendent, the Rev W. G. Slade, who presided, expressed h.i® pleasure at the large attendance and. welcomed them to the Hataitai end of the circuit. Addresses were delivered during the evening by Rev. F. O. Prosser, on behalf of the ministers, and Mr. N. R. Seddon, circuit steward, on behalf of the laymen. Both speakers emphasised the need for an increasing development, of Christian fellowship within the local church and the circuit, and the fact that fundamental to thjt was the need for the enrichment of Lnristian experience in our own lives. The musical programme was provided by the Island Bay Choir, under the baton of Mr, Douglas White. Several part songs by the choir, solos by Mesdames Prosser and Ayrton and Mr. Martin, ami a recitation by Miss Sumner completed an enjoyable programme. Supper was served by the women of the Hataitai church.
