One of the finest dramas of recent years—“ Love on the Dole,” a grim and moving picture of life in Lancashire in the depression—-was read by the Thespians at their weekly meeting in the Little Theatre, Cuba Street, |aat night. A strong east presented a fine interpretation which was thoroughly appreciated by the large audience of members. Those taking part included: Lenocratc Mountjoy, Elsie Lloyd, Aspasia Edwards, Daisy Render, Louise Christian, Susie Painter, E. R. Render, H. Norman Hannah, J. Simpson, W. Sutherland and G. Aldridge.
