JAPANESE BUILD SHIP IN 156 DAYS
Whaler Launched at Kobe (Received August 2, 6.30 p.m.) Tokio, August 1. The 17,000-ton whaler Nisshin Mani was launched at Kobe 156 days after the laying of the keel. This is believed to be a world record. The vessel will be ready on September 30. Tlie building of the whaler heralds Japanese plans to go after Antarctic whaling on a big scale.
