No Baths For Miners (From “The Dominion,” August 0, 1911). The British House of Commons committee has rejected the clause in the Mining Bill making miners’ baths at the pithead compulsory. « » » A meeting in Wellington in connection with the new Camera Club was held on Thursday evening, over twenty intendiirT members being present, notwithstanding the wretched weather. The club will be inaugurated with a membership of fifty or more. # # » The first sample of wheat grown in the Northern Territory, near Port Darwin, has been received at Perth. Indian seed was used. Without rain, irrigation or manure, it yielded 15 bushels to the acre. The result is considered highly promising for the agricultural development of the territory.
