EXHIBITION SOCCER
Australian Team’s Final Game
The Australian Association football team will be seen in action for the last time in New Zealand at the Basin Reserve to-day when the visitors and a combined Wellington team will play an exhibition game. Since they have been in New Zealand the Australians have delighted thousands with their clever football and for this game they will split their team into two sides, with young Wellington players included on each side to make up the elevens. The idea is to give experience to the local players and to teach them the finer points of the game. The instruction that the younger players will receive is sure to improve their standard of football and will be invaluable to their future success. The improvement in club football since the visitors have played here has already been noticeable. The Australian team will leave for home by the Wanganella after the game.' There will be a curtainraiser before the big game.
