List of Transfers and Promotions NEW SUPERINTENDENT FOR WELLINGTON Transfers and promotions in the police force were announced yesterday by the Minister in Charge (Hon. P, Fraser) as follows: — Superintendent D. C. Fraser, transferred from Christchurch to charge of the Wellington district. Superintendent A. Cameron, transferred from Dunedin to Christchurch. Inspector S. Rawle, Christchurch, promoted to rank of superintendent and transferred to charge of Dunedin district.
Senior-Sergeant C. Hurley, transferred from Tauniarunui to charge of Newmarket station. Auckland. Sergeant J. W. Claasen, transferred from Newmarket station to charge of Kaitaia station, to replace Constable Thornell (deceased). There is a shortage of non-commissioned officers in the Whangarei police district, and it has been decided that a Sergeant should be stationed in the northern portion of the district to supervise the stations in that locality. Sergeant S. G. Clist, transferred from New Plymouth to charge of Tuumiirunui station.
Sergeant T. F. Brenchley, transferred from Auckland to New Plymouth. Sergeant T. Wolfendale, transferred from Christchurch to Auckland. Sergeant M. Farrell, transferred from Auckland to Wellington. The following constables are promoted to the rank of sergeant Constable J. H. McLeod. Auckland; Constable J. Crowley, Christchurch; Constable W. J. Brown, Wellington (to be transferred to Auckland); Constable F. W. Johnsen and Constable W. Cooper, both of Dunedin; Constable G. H. Holt, Auckland; Constable J. Gracey, Wellington. Detective AV. Kane is promoted to the rank of detective-sergeant and will remain in the detective office here.
