The butter market has fluctuated slightly, but the trade is expecting a better inquiry for August Bank holiday business, with possibly a further slight appreciation in value before the end of the month. Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., have received from their principals, Trengrouse and Nathan Ltd., London, the following cabled advice, dated July 25: New Zealand butter quiet but firm at 118/- per cwt. London Apple Market Bv Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright London, July 26. Arrivals of apples are now at their lightest. The chief offering is composed of cold-stored fruit. Competition of heavy quantities of soft fruits, especially Italian, ' affecting prices; moreover, English apples are now making their appearance in the market, nevertheless there is a distinctly better tone. No pears are available, but 17.000 boxes are expected here next week. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated July 25, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand. Tiproff Patent Seal Co. The Auckland brokers to the Tiproff Patent Seal Company, Ltd., report that the issue of 2000 ordinary shares recently made by the company at a premium of £1 each'has been heavily over-subscribed. The firm also reports that negotiations for the sale of a portion of the company’s world royalties are likely to be finalised at an early date.
