Officers Elected at Annual Meeting -- _■ ■ I Mention of the loes to the New Zealand Institute of Marine and Power Engineers by the death of Sir James Mills, K.C.M.G., was made in the report of the Wellington branch of the institute, presented at the annual meeting last night. Some 40 members attended the meeting. It was stated that during the year the numerical strength of the branch had been reduced by two, and now stood at 708. The financial statement showed the branch to be in a thriving position. The following officers were elected: — President. Mr. H. M. Neilsen ; vice-presi-dents. Mr J. P. Burns. Mr. L. Hall, Mr. A. G. Wilson; councillors. Mr. A. Brown, Mr. T Macill, Mr. H Rix-Trott. Mr. J. L Morgan, Mr. E. J Looney. Mr. A. T Smith. Mr R. M Moffatt: secretary. Mr W. Sommerville; treasurer, Mr. F. O. Monath; auditors Messrs. Clarke, Menzies, Griffin and Ross.
