CLEVER FORGERIES
New Zealand Reserve Bank Notes at Sydney (Received July 21, 8.10 p.m.) Sydney, July 21. Police headquarters have obtained possession of several forged New Zealand Reserve Bank notes, the denominations of which have been changed from 10/- and £1 to £lO by the use of acids and the manipulation of the figures. Bank experts had the greatest difficulty in detecting the forgeries, but the fact (that the Now Zealand Reserve Bank does not issue £lO notes left no doubt that somebody had been tampering with the notes and showing an excellent profit. Police have warned tradesfolk in all States.
