Horowhenua Team For

Parata Cup After playing two representative matches against Taranaki and Rangitikei last week, the Horowhenua women’s hockey team has been altered by the selectors, Mrs. L. Seal and Mr. F. J. Ryder, for the match against Wellington, at the Basin Reserve on Saturday, for the Baker Parata Memorial Cup, the team now being:—Goal, Miss I. Winiata: full-backs, Misses R. Hawea and S. Te Hiwi; half-backs. Miss Ropata, Mrs. J. Caldwell. Miss B. Johnson; forwards, Misses M. Stupples, T. Bevan, Mrs. L. Seal, Misses B. Hakaraia, W. Budge. Emergencies: Mrs. V. Porter and Miss N. Spiers. The team will arrive ib Wellington about 11.15 on Saturday morning, and will be entertained by the Wellington Women’s Hockey Association. At the conclusion of the Fiji v. Wellington match, both the Fiji and Horowhenua teams will be given an informal dinner at the Cambridge Hotel, followed by a dance in the evening at the Technical College. The umpires for the Fiji v. Wellington match will be ’Messrs. E. L. Harris, appointed by the Fiji tourists, and J. C. Cusack, appointed by the Wellington association.
