WESTERN HUTT ROAD

Work Going Steadily Ahead TEST BORES SUCCESSFUL Much of the work on the Western Hutt Road has now been done, although the men are fitill engaged on cutting away big faces. The mnjoi- portion of the work now being carried out is that going on in the deviation beyond Haywards. Before long a start on the job of metalling the road will be begun. The sinking of the test bores for the bridge foundations has been completed, and the results have proved satisfactory.
