NEWTOWN CROQUET CLUB EVENING

By courtesy of the Newtown Bowling Club, the ladies of the Newtown Oroquet Club spent a pleasant evening recently in the bowling club’s pavilion, arranged by Mrs. Vine and Miss Adams. Progressive euchre was the main amusement, most of those present entering heartily into the competition. The prize-winners were Mrs. M. Smith and Mrs. Wagstaff, Mr. S. Verry and Mr. C. Davis. Mr. A. Pollock was the prize-winner in an outside competition. After supper, Miss Petersen, president of the Croquet Club, presented the prizes, and expressed the thanks of the ladies to the Bowling Club for their assistance, ‘
