During the week ended May 22, 1129 vessels, representing 918,072 net register tons, used the Port of London. Of these, 457 vessels (703,105 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports, and (172 vessels (214.007 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included 13 meat cargoes, viz., seven from Australia, three from New Zealand, two from South America and one from South Africa, comprising 337.000 carcases of lamb and mutton, 95,000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits and sundries.
