Potatoes Cheaper in Auckland Dominion Special Service. Auckland, July 21. The potato market as weaker. This week’s cargo is not a large one, but stocks in the city are fairly heavy and the price is 5/- lower than it was a week ago. Dakotas still enjoy a premium of 15/- per cwt. over white tables. A small volume of business is being done in seed lines. Onions are still coming from Pukekohe, but in many cases they need picking over, in which case the price is advanced accordingly. Supplies nro also available from abroad, with Californian selling at 17/- per 1001 b. bag and Japanese at 18/6 per cwt. case. There is no change in the position of horse feed. B Garton oats are selling nt 4/3 per bushel and chaff at £B/7/6 per ton. . , , The market for wheat, maize and barley is very steady, with no alterations from last week’s quotations.
