PLACEMENT SCHEME
Total of 343 Men Found Jobs in Week During the week ended July 18 a total of 343 men were placed in employment under the Labour Department's place ment scheme, in various parts of New Zealand. No subsidy from the Emplovment Promotion Fund is paid in respect to any of these men. The total number of men now placed under the scheme ir» 2222. of which 1210 have been found work of a permanent nature. SO! have been placed in temporary jobs, and casual work has been found for 211.
